Took the canoe down, and spent the morning messing about with it, as there was no wind.

Everyone had a go, Jamie, Devan and Macaulie each having a go with Grant then with me, (as if they were expecting it to be different).

Sarah and I had several discussions about the best way to steer, and as usual Sarah was right, and I was wrong. We got up a fair turn of speed though.

Then Grant and I had a go together, the canoe was very low in the water! We paddled around the estuary for a bit, and then went for an expedition up the Leri. Coming back the tide was rushing in and we had to work hard to get through the road bridge. The girls had seen us heading off to Aberdyfi, and hadn't seen that we came back to go up the Leri. They were concerned that we had sunk the canoe, (considering how low in the water it was). Devan told them where we were, but they didn't believe him.

Spent the rest of the day messing about on the beach. Far fewer tourists about than at the weekend, which was nice.
